Sola Security raised $35M Series A Read all about it

Our Series A and the future of security

Our Series A and the future of security

Drawing attention is not really our style (OK, you can stop laughing now). But every so often, we need to step out from behind the product. Today happens to be one of those days.

So, we’ve got some news to share. You don’t want to read too much and we feel awkward writing , especially with an AI rendering of us as the grumpy muppets Statler and Waldorf (thanks, marketing team). Let’s just get straight to it.

The big news

So here’s the gist:

  • We just raised a $35M Series A, bringing our total funding to $65M in a little over a year.
  • The round was led by S32, with M12 (Microsoft’s Venture Fund) and New Era Capital Partners also participating.
  • All our existing investors, including Michael Moritz, S Capital, Glilot, and Lockstep, returned to back us again.

We are grateful for the trust and support. Raising a round like this is never simple, so having this group of partners double down is a strong vote of confidence in our vision and in the adoption of AI in security.

This is not just about raising money. It is about momentum, traction, and building the kind of cyber security AI assistant that teams have been asking for.

Since launching just six months ago, the response has been clear and strong. More than 2,000 users have already signed up, creating over 1,000 custom security apps with Sola. These cover identity and access management, cloud security, posture and configuration management, compliance, and more.

The message from the community is clear: security teams are ready for a new approach, and AI for cyber security is proving it can move from theory to practice much faster than expected. With Sola about to shift from beta into full general availability, the next wave of features is on its way. Thousands are already using Sola, and “we will look at it later” is not going to age well.

Where cyber security goes next

We started Sola because cyber security was not keeping pace with how the rest of technology was evolving. Across industries, products became easier to use, self-serve, and built to empower individuals instead of locking them into rigid systems. Design has Canva. Payments have Stripe. Security, on the other hand, was still weighed down by bloated stacks, expensive contracts, and projects that took months to deliver results. The adoption of AI is accelerating this shift, giving teams the ability to build and adapt solutions in minutes instead of months.

Tackling security challenges needs to be simple, lightweight, and accessible. Whether you’re a startup building its first compliance app or an enterprise managing complex cloud environments, AI now makes it possible to get there faster. Our goal is to ensure security teams can focus on the problems that matter most, while Sola provides the speed, flexibility, and intelligence that should have been part of cyber security all along.

This is the future we are building: AI assistants built for security from the ground up, with knowledge and logic baked in by design. With Sola, teams get speed without compromise. They can create custom solutions on demand, adapt them to their own environments, and move away from the one-size-fits-all tools that have dominated the industry for decades.

The very well-deserved thank you

  • To our investors, thank you for believing in what we are building and for backing us again.
  • To our early adopters, thank you for taking a bet on something new and showing us what is possible with more than a thousand custom security apps already built.
  • To our families, thanks for not changing the locks on those extra-long workdays.
  • And to the Sola team, thank you for bringing the energy and belief that this idea really can change how security is done.

This Series A is a milestone, not a finish line. We have a lot of work ahead, and we are excited to keep building alongside our community.

This is only the beginning.
