We are looking for a Senior Multidisciplinary Security Researcher to help define a new category of security intelligence. This is not a traditional specialist role focused on a single domain such as cloud, application security, or identity. Instead, this role is for someone who can operate broadly across security surfaces, uncover relationships between systems, and help build a sophisticated, AI-driven contextual security layer.
You will research across domains including cloud security, application security, identity, and emerging agentic environments, with the goal of understanding how systems interact, where risk emerges, and how that risk can be modeled and surfaced in meaningful ways. Your work will help generate structured security knowledge that can be represented in graphs, embeddings, and other contextual data models to support richer reasoning and more contextual risk scoring.
This is a highly unique, ground-breaking role for someone excited by the idea of building the connective layer between raw security signals, deep system understanding, and intelligent product experiences.
What You'll Do
- Conduct broad, cross-domain security research spanning cloud, application security, identity, and agentic environments.
- Identify patterns, dependencies, and relationships across systems to help build deep contextual understanding of security posture and exposure.
- Generate high-value security knowledge and structured content that can be represented through graphs, embeddings, ontologies, and other contextual models.
- Partner closely with engineering to design and operationalize an AI-driven security contextual layer that improves how risks are discovered, understood, and prioritized.
- Lead security-focused reinforcement learning and human-in-the-loop benchmarking to optimize system intelligence.
- Define, measure, and enforce quality standards with engineering counterparts, including KPIs around recall, precision, reliability, consistency, and signal quality.
- Develop approaches for contextual risk scoring that reflect not only isolated findings, but also the interaction between identities, services, applications, infrastructure, and workflows.
- Use AI automations and related tooling to scale research, extract meaning across diverse inputs, and broaden coverage across complex environments. Work closely with product to uncover opportunities, shape roadmap direction, and translate research insights into differentiated customer value.
- Help define a new discipline at the intersection of security research, contextual intelligence, and AI-driven product development.
What You Bring
- Strong security research experience across multiple domains, with depth in several of the following: cloud security, application security, identity security, infrastructure, SaaS, and agentic/AI-connected environments.
- A generalist mindset with the ability and desire to go broad rather than narrow, connecting concepts across domains instead of focusing on a single vertical.
- Strong understanding of how security knowledge can be structured and modeled for higher-order reasoning, including familiarity with knowledge graphs, embeddings, entity relationships, contextual enrichment, and risk modeling.
- High proficiency with AI automations, orchestration, and research tooling, with the ability to use automation as a force multiplier for breadth, speed, and coverage.
- Experience defining evaluation frameworks and quality metrics for intelligent systems, especially around precision, recall, reliability, and trustworthiness.
- Strong collaboration skills and comfort working cross-functionally with engineering and product in ambiguous, exploratory environments.
- A builder's mindset: excited by undefined spaces, first-principles thinking, and creating something genuinely new. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts clearly across audiences.
